Boston Martial Arts, Shotokan Karate, Jujitsu Instructor Mike Perry

Mike has been a Boston area martial arts instructor since 1988. He began his training in martial arts in 1978 and since that time has trained and studied in many forms of armed and unarmed martial arts or self-defense methods. Currently Mike is a certified NRA firearms instructor and holder of three black belts, including a 1st degree black belt in Tae Kwon Do, an 7th degree black belt in Perry Jujitsu and an 8th degree black belt in Shotokan Karate. Mike is also the Senior Self-defense Instructor and instructor trainer for IMPACT Boston. Mike has had many first hand experiences with violence. He grew up in an environment where violence was unfortunately all too common. Years later he worked as a security guard then as a bouncer at a frequently rowdy night club and bar. Some of Mike’s instructors and mentors are: Sensei James F. Tatosky, Master Richard A. Byrne, Master Calvin Bascomb, Master Deraldo Ferreira, Lyn Bates and Massad Ayoob.

Current Martial Arts Instruction:

Mike currently teaches martial arts at the Davis Square Martial Arts Building in Somerville, MA on Tuesday and Thursday evenings from 8 p.m.-9:30 p.m.
